Northwestern Glacier in the Northwestern Fjord of the Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska. This glacier, still one of the largest in the area, was estimated to be 2 miles wide in 1852 and it filled what is now an extensive fjord completely, calving directly into the Gulf of Alaska. It is melting more rapidly as time passes.
