Owl's Head Lighthouse in Owl's Head State Park in Maine was built in 1825, and, with its powerful fog horn and its fourth-order Fresnel lens, it still guides mariners safely into Rockland Harbor. Presently an active US Coast Guard facility, the keeper's quarters are off-limits, but the grounds are open to visitors.
