Welcome to JNB Photography
The JNB stands for Janice and Nolan Braud. We are a team, in life, as well as in photography. We are both long retired from careers as computer programmers, but in an even earlier life, Nolan was a true 'rocket scientist' - he worked for NASA, under Werner Von Braun, during the early space exploration and moon landings. For all of his scientific learning and leanings, Nolan also loved photography, which is interesting and a bit amazing, given that he has been legally blind all of his life.
In the late 1990’s, with our three beautiful daughters successfully launched on lives and careers of their own, we combined our joint love of nature and travel and photography into a serious avocation and eventually a profession. We have accumulated an extensive photo collection, more than 80,000 images at present, with a strong focus on nature, gardens and floral scenes, birds, butterflies and landscapes. We are constantly adding travel photography as our photo trips in search of natural beauty take us to places like Ireland, Canada, Europe, Central and South America and all over the USA. In addition, we have a "thing" for Lighthouses and a special affection for the Canadian Rockies and the beautiful gardens in Canada.
Our images have been published in numerous national magazines and calendars, including Birds and Blooms and other Reiman publications, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Shutterbug, NANPA Currents, and Inner Reflections Calendar, as well as local venues and gallery exhibits.
Some of our galleries on this website have hundreds of images because they represent collections, such as lighthouses and hummingbirds, or trip photos to share with friends and fans. Smaller galleries in the Portfolio section/category contain just a few of our favorite images. Any image in the galleries can be printed – just select the image and click on “buy” to get a screen of print options.
All photos are available for sale for rights-managed stock purposes. These galleries contain only a small sample of our photo collection. If you are looking for a photo or subject that you don’t see here, please contact us with details of your interest.
If you just want to share your thoughts and suggestions, you can comment on any image, or just click on "Contact" to send us a more general message.
Feel free to browse and hope you enjoy.
